Hey guys... Sorry, birthday weekend was rather crazy, so no Survivor updates! :bleh:
But here we go...
2000 Watts is finally gone after holding on for a good 5 rounds. I'm sure that's gonna stir the pot a bit. :bleh:
It's around this time that the voting becomes impossible. Whatever leaves from now on will be a shock.
One last weak-ish song to get rid of though: You Are My Life.
Ouch.

[QUESTION] Why does racist site have section dedicated to Michael Jackson? WTF?

I was looking up some information about Snoop Dogg through Google (I know, random) when I clicked on a headline that I thought linked to a Hip-Hop blog.
However, I ended up in a racist hate forum. Literally. That is the site's main purpose as per its name (which I won't repeat).
But before I could go back, something caught my eye.
A section dedicated to Michael.
But not Michael Jackson. Michael Jackscoon. MICHAEL JACKSCOON!
Seriously?!
I'm more confused than I am angry. Just... WTF?
I don't understand a site that runs on pure racism or why there's an entire section dedicated to this one person (the only African-Amercian celebrity to be singled out specifically).

Michael Bearden, the Music Director and close friend of the late King of Pop Michael Jackson scored the movie “This Is It” has composed and produced a new profound song titled "One Last Goodbye," a musical tribute in honor of Michael Jackson's birthday on August 29th, which will be available on iTunes. In mirroring the philanthropy efforts of his late friend Michael Jackson, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the MuisCares Foundation®, a nonprofit organization founded in 1989 by The Recording Academy® that provides emergency health and human services to music people in need.
“One Last Goodbye” will be unveiled to the 'King of Pop” fans through Michael Bearden’s facebook fan page. In addition, Michael Bearden will perform a live version of the song on UStream and engage fans by answering questions about his work with the late pop icon.
"After Michael passed, I started receiving countless emails on my personal facebook page from Michael Jackson fans who wanted to learn about my untold experiences working so closely with the "King of Pop." Ultimately I think fans really just wanted to connect with anyone who was directly linked to Michael Jackson. From this, I was inspired to launch and design my fan page as a place or refuge for fans to continue to talk and fellowship with each other keeping the spirit of Michael Jackson alive" said Michael Bearden.
In regards to composing a tribute song honoring the birthday of Michael Jackson “I wanted to write something special to commemorate Michael's memory since his passing and recently created the most perfect song titled "One Last Goodbye." It is a genuine expression that best represents how I feel about my friend and colleague. The song pulls at your heart strings and immediately makes you feel loss and love at the same time. I believe it upholds the strong characteristics of MJ but also has elements that represent some of the daunting times he had to experience. Those particular times are a reminder of how we need to treat and embrace one another now and in the future and I believe that was one of Michael's greatest missions" said Bearden.

Rihanna’s team sure has some high standards in mind for her next studio LP. In a recent blog post on VIBE.com, Island Def Jam A&R worker Bu Thiam has stated that Rihanna’s upcoming release is set to be on the same level as Michael Jackson’s iconic ‘Thriller’ album. Check out what he had to say below:
Seriously? Thiam really thinks that Rihanna the singer whose voice has caused almost as much damage as the BP oil spill has the potential to match ‘Thriller’? The production, vocals and writing on that album revolutionised the music industry and influence a generation of artists. How on sweet Mother Earth can Thiam expect a Rihanna record to compare to that? Again: seriously?

Brother of famed Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher dies

LOS ANGELES — John R. Branca, brother of famed Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher Ralph Branca and father of John Branca, the co-administrator of Michael Jackson's estate, has died.
His family announced his death Thursday in Los Angeles.
John R. Branca was a former New York state assemblyman and chairman of the New York State Athletic Commission who was known for bringing boxing back to Madison Square Garden. He was a teacher and coach of winning high school sports teams for years.
The 86-year-old Branca, who spent most of his life in Mount Vernon, N.Y., died July 17 of vascular disease in Boca Raton, Fla., where he had retired in the late 1980s.
